By now you must have all heard of internet meme Lana Del Rey, formally Lizzie Grant. She’s currently the centre of controversy in a raging online authenticity debate with multiple arguments over her facial enhancements, major backlash from the awkward and painful debacle that was her SNL debut, and has now, as part of the rules that govern any pop musicians rise to fame, been accused of plagiarizing a song.
Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, Usher, etc., etc. have all been accused of the same thing but while they were at points in their career where they were considered established. Del Rey is just starting out meaning this is either just another milestone in her inevitable take-over or perhaps the final blow.
